Garima Rani
Assistant Professor
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
Dr. Garima Rani is a biophysicist who leads an interdisciplinary research group in the Department of Biochemical Engg. and Biotechnology @IIT Delhi, focused on understanding microbial dynamics and designing innovative antimicrobial solutions. By integrating expertise across continuum physics, molecular dynamics, artificial intelligence, stochastic computing and microbiology, her goal is to build multiscale models that not only elucidate microbial behavior but also drive real-world therapeutic innovations. She did her PhD in Physics at IMSc, Chennai in 2021 and following that, was a HFSP Cross-Disciplinary Fellow at University of Luxembourg and FSU, Jena (2021-2025). She joined IIT Delhi in 2025. She actively participates in outreach activities, with the particular aim of creating awareness on microbial systems and antimicrobial resistance.
