Dr Ramya is a public health researcher and Scientist at ICMR–National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai. She completed her MD in Community Medicine and holds a PG Diploma in Mental Health Care and Counselling. Her work focuses on implementation research at the intersection of mental health, noncommunicable diseases and climate-related health risks. She has experience working closely with government health programmes and supporting the translation of evidence into policy and practice.
