I am an, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at IISc Bengaluru, heads the Centre for Health Technology Assessment. My research interrogates the nexus of health technology and economics, with particular emphasis on the cost-effectiveness of AI-driven cancer screening tools and Health Technology Assessments to guide policy. My prior work has elucidated maternal and child healthcare utilization, systemic inequities, and health-seeking behaviors among tribal populations. During the COVID-19 crisis, i contributed to modelling hospital capacity deficits, furnishing pivotal evidence for health system preparedness. I have spearheaded and collaborated on projects funded by UNICEF, ICMR, and the Rising Tide Foundation, addressing healthcare access, social protection, and social entrepreneurship. I liason with policymakers, advising the Government of Karnataka on state health insurance schemes.
