Dr. Vamanie Perumal is an interdisciplinary scientist specializing in AI, Optimization and machine learning, with a PhD from IIT Madras, MTech in Materials Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and BTech in Biotechnology from PSG College of Technology. Her research leverages AI across 10+ diverse domains, including advertising measurement, energy optimization, transportation efficiency, materials science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring, and industrial fault prediction, delivering high-accuracy models for real-world deployments. She works at the unique interface of governments, academia, startups, and industries. As AI Lead at CoE in IIT Madras, she collaborates with eminent professors and leads projects in sustainability and policy recommendations, while mentoring students and spearheading STEM education.
