Debyashreeta Barik, Ph.D., is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at NISER specializing in the synthesis of NIR-triggered, dynamic shape-transforming nanoparticles for targeted skin cancer therapy. Her research bridges nanotechnology, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine, with strong expertise in engineering protein-based and biomimetic hydrogels that promote vascularization, innervation, and enhanced tissue regeneration. She earned her Ph.D. from the Institute of Life Sciences, where she developed innovative scaffolds and injectable hydrogels for bone repair, contributing multiple high-impact publications, patents, and a book chapter. Dr. Barik’s professional interests span smart nano-therapeutic systems, cancer-targeted drug delivery, 3D in vitro modeling, organoid-based platforms, and translational biomedical engineering aimed at developing next-generation, clinically relevant therapeutic technologies.
